Health and safety representatives (HSRs) play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of safety management systems within DHSV.
Elected by their peers for a period of three years, HSRs communicate health and safety matters to management, members of their workgroup and the OHS Committee.
All HSRs are provided with mandatory training to ensure a full understanding of the role.
HSRs may be consulted when risk assessments are conducted within their work areas, or may carry out the risk assessments with managers and/or other staff. They can also be involved in incident investigations.
We have a strong team of HSRs who support the promotion of a safe workplace for all within DHSV.
